Sulfuric Acid is utilized in the leaching process to extract metal ores from unprocessed extracted rock.

Sulphuric Acid is used in the synthesis and purifcation of vital intermediate metal salts and is also used to balance the pH of process water.

Iron sulphates are used to produce iron phosphate for LFP batteries. HCl is an alternative to HF in the synthesis of graphite anodes.
