Chemtrade operates a diversified business providing industrial chemicals and services to customers in North America and around the world. Chemtrade is one of North America’s largest suppliers of sulphuric acid, inorganic coagulants for water treatment, liquid sulphur dioxide, sodium nitrite and sodium hydrosulphite. Chemtrade is a leading North American processor of spent acid as well as a leading regional supplier of sulphur, sodium chlorate, phosphorus pentasulphide, and zinc oxide. Chemtrade obtains these products from its own production facilities and through long-term marketing services agreements and distributes them to customers around the world. Additionally, Chemtrade provides industrial services such as processing hydrogen sulphide and other by-products and waste streams.
Our business model is intended to mitigate the effect that changes in commodity prices and volumes could have on our earnings. This is achieved through:
- Contractual provisions;
- Competitive position; or
- Product or service differentiation in the market place.
Chemtrade operates in three business segments:
Sulphur Products & Performance Chemicals (SPPC)
Water Solutions & Specialty Chemicals (WSSC)
International – Chemtrade Aglobis
