Chemtrade is one of only two North American producers of P2S5, a performance chemical used primarily as a key ingredient in the lubricating oil and grease additive markets for automotive motor oil.

Chemtrade manufactures P2S5 at its plant in Lawrence, Kansas, using high purity phosphorus and sulphur.  The product is a greenish yellow solid available as granular or flake.  Reactivity and phosphorus percentage can be adjusted, and it can be milled to customer requirements.

The product is shipped in large aluminum returnable tote bins.
