Logistics
Our business model for adding value and reliability to producers and consumers of sulphuric acid and sulphur is enhanced by our extensive logistics and supply chain network. This network includes: Storage Chemtrade Aglobis provides storage and distribution facilities in Mejillones, Chile and Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Our 20,000 MT tank in Meijillones serves as storage facility to supply major mining companies with sulphuric acid. We also provide storage services to third parties. Our facility in Rotterdam has the capacity to store 100,000 MT of sulphuric acid, sulphur and other chemicals. There are 3 berths for barges and sea going vessels with a maximum draft of 11.60 metres and a maximum length of 250 metres. Loading and Discharging The Mejillones facility can be used for imports and exports by sea and is equipped with loading stations for trucks and railcars. Our Rotterdam terminal is accessible by sea going vessels, inland barges and trucks and is equipped with loading and discharge facilities. We also offer board-to-board transfer services (vessel-to-vessel and vessel-to-barge) for many chemical products. The infrastructure at our terminal allows for optimized loading and discharging time. Our services are available 24 hrs around the clock. The advantageous location of the Rotterdam terminal offers easy access to the North Sea (8 nautical miles) and to industrial centres in the Netherlands (31 km to Rotterdam) and Germany (250 km to the Rhine/Ruhr area). The truck and rail fleet is well-maintained and compliant with applicable technical and safety standards and has 4 locations in Germany.
